How can I get involved?
Educators
Help us bring nuclear science into the classroom by requesting a K-12 workshop at your school, or implementing some of our lesson plans into your class. Encourage your students to pursue a career in STEM.

Community Outreach Projects
K-12
Classrooms are filled with students always eager to learn. We are supporting educators and students of multiple backgrounds through the ANS UPRM K-12 Program and with Navigating Nuclear.
We encourage K-12 students to explore and discover the answers to many important questions. How does nuclear energy power our homes and communities? How does radiation ensure safe food for our tables and keep us healthy? How can nuclear science catapult us to the far reaches of space?
Outreach
We strive to increase the interest in nuclear sciences, encourage students to pursue careers in nuclear engineering, and promote nuclear research within the University of Puerto Rico. We provide the tools necessary to develop strong teamwork, leadership, and technical skills that will help students pursue internships, CO-OP’s, and research in the field of nuclear engineering, science and technologies.
Join our career development workshops and educational seminars about the different branches of nuclear sciences.
In Campus
Our interdisciplinary community aims to foster a safe environment where future nuclear professionals can develop technical and leadership skills through hands-on experiences. We encourage our members to pursue careers within all fields related to nuclear sciences so that they can achieve their goals, improve people’s lives, and benefit the environment.
Students can also make friends and have fun in our movie nights, game nights, and other social events!
