SWE SCHOLARSHIPS 2018
Apply now for Society of Women Engineers’ scholarships for the 2018-2019 academic year! High school seniors who will be university freshmen can apply online now through May 1, 2018. The SWE Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to women studying baccalaureate or graduate programs in preparation for careers in engineering.

2017 DOD SUMMER RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES
AND STUDENT/FACULTY OPPORTUNITIES AT OAK RIDGE NATIONAL LABORATORY
DoD announces the following civilian summer research programs with the U.S. Air Force Research Lab, Army Research Lab and the Army Institute for Surgical Research. A listing of all opportunities, complete eligibility information and instructions to apply can be located at www.orau.org/maryland. The opportunities are located either in OH, MD or TX at the respective research laboratory. The start dates for each summer program will vary slightly. Selected participants will receive monthly stipends for their research participation within each program. One application may be utilized to apply to all of these programs.
NEUP SCHOLARSHIPS AND FELLOWSHIPS

The Energy Department is awarding 57 scholarships to undergraduate students and 33 fellowships to graduate students in engineering and science programs related to nuclear energy. Each scholarship student will receive $7,500 to help cover the cost of his or her education for the next year. Advanced reactor internship
Summer Student Employee – Advanced Reactor
The Student Employee will work with technical staff to develop and populate a technology scouting database documenting key features, attributes and capabilities of advanced reactor designs and other enabling technologies, along with profile information on the associated developers and vendors. The Student Employee will also assist with feeding appropriate information from the Advanced Reactor Technology Scouting Database into the EPRI Scouting Portal established to provide members with up to date, high level information on technologies and suppliers.

ANS STUDENT CONFERENCE 2018
The ANS Student conference is an event where students of across the nation gather to learn about nuclear science and technology through reserach, network and participation activities. The ANS Student conference will be held from April 5-7 2018 in the University of Florida at Gainsville Campus. The theme of the conference for this year is “Nuclear Equality in Policy, Energy Acces & within the engineering community
NGGP APPLICATION
NNSA is now accepting applications for the NNSA Graduate Fellowship Program (NGFP)! Students can apply online athttp://ngfp.pnnl.gov. They anticipate hiring approximately 50 fellows for the next class, which will begin in June 2019.
SURF PROGRAM AT NIST

The SURF Program is designed to inspire undergraduate students to pursue careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) through a unique, hands-on, research experience that supports the NIST mission. Over the course of 11 weeks, SURF students contribute to the ongoing research under the guidance of a NIST scientist or engineer from one of the seven NIST laboratories.
Nuclear Innovation Boot camp
Building on the resounding success of the first Nuclear Innovation Bootcamp: Nuclear Upended held in 2016, we are pleased to announce that we’re doing it again! The second bootcamp, Tomorrow Today, will be hosted at UC Berkeley from July 16-29, 2017. The Bootcamp will train the next generation of students and professionals in developing and executing ideas for nuclear energy that work in the world–providing them the tools to make a real impact as innovators and entrepreneurs.
